This course is suitable for all breeds of dogs.
So any dog upwards of 5 months old- but particularly adolescent dogs who are at that awkward inbetween stage of development. They're no longer the cute puppy you brought home 5 months ago but neither are they the sensible adult dog that you can  trust to behave everywhere! Perhaps you have an older dog or a rescue dog that you feel fits this criteria as they require more practise in valuable life skills.

This 6 session course has been put together to set your inbetweener dog on the right path through their current tricky developmental stage and beyond. This age and stage of a dogs develpoment can be a particularly difficult and often frustrating time for dog owners, but its totally possible with the right training to come out the other side with a well mannered , happy pet dog,  who'll you'll be proud to take out and about anywhere.

(if your dog is reactive/aggressive/or particularly nervous around other dogs, please  get in touch and we can advise and if required we can book a 1;1 session to help).

We limit class size to ensure you get lots of individual help should you need it, plus smaller classes helps to make all dogs experience of a training class a calmer, more positive one.

What we will cover
  • Basic obedience and self control
  • Crate/Bed/Boundary  training and its application to real-life situations
  • Loose Lead Walking training solutions
  • Recall Training Games that can be applied in real-life
  • Proofing your dogs training so that it will stand up to real-life distractions

This 6 session puppy course is as much about educating you the owner about responsible puppy parenting as it is about training your puppy!
The course is full of really useful information for both experienced and new puppy owners.
Instructors at club are well-versed in the most up-to-date and current, reinforcement based training methods and will be teaching new puppy parents, the skills they need to train their pup to be the very best family pet.
Modern reward based training is not only kind and fun for both puppy and owner but its also highly effective.

Throughout the critical socialistion period between 8 and 16 weeks your dogs temperament and personality are being moulded by what he experiences and how he feels about those experiences, if you can turn your puppy into an optimist, a puppy who sees every new experience as a potential happy one! You'll be going a long way to helping him become a really confident, happy, safe pet dog! Let us show you how.

The aim of this course is to teach you games and exercises that will put the fun back into your dogs recall.
As well as training your dog in your weekly class,  you'll be provided with detailed notes of all the exercises and games by email, so you can practise at home and then on walks too!
By engaging with your dog through playing the games which we'll teach, you'll begin to improve the relationship that you have with him, he'll see you a source of fun. All this will have a positive impact in helping to build a more reliable recall.
We'll help you to build and follow your dogs very own individual training plan, which will set you upon the right path to create a reliable recall with your dog.
Please do remember there are no quick fixes when it comes to dog training, so no instant results but if you're consistent, persistant and patient, you will soon see improvements. Plus you'll have great fun building your relationship with your dog  learning too!
